2009 BUICK ENCLAVE: Buick’s luxury SUV is the brand’s most popular offering after its introduction for 2008. New for '09 is direct injection for the 3.6 liter V-6, which raises output to 288 hp and torque to 270 ft.-lbs., which helps propel the nearly 5,000 Enclave at a bit brisker pace. Bluetooth with steering wheel controls is now standard for all models. For Enclaves lacking the navigation system, the backup display has been positioned into the rearview mirror. Also new is listing heated and cooled seats and a stand alone option. Enclave is available in CX and CXL trim levels, with eight exterior and three interior colors. Mechanically, the Enclave offers front-wheel- or all-wheel-drive, mated to Buick’s first six-speed automatic transmission. The roomy cabin is capable of carrying up to eight passengers and there is 116.2 cubic feet of cargo room behind the first row when all rear seats are folded. Enclave also features a power-operated liftgate, large sunroof skylight and OnStar with Turn-By-Turn voice-activated navigation, standard on CX models.
