2009 HONDA ACCORD: Horsepower has increased slightly from 168 to 171 in Honda’s upgrade 3.5-liter, V6 engine, otherwise changes from 2008 are even more minimal in the coupe and sedan models. Honda redesigned the Accord for 2008 and that stronger, more muscular look in the coupe, as well as the larger front bucket seats for the sedan, continues. Besides the V6, engine choices include two four-cylinders, producing 177 (LX and LX-P sedans) or 190 (EX sedans, all coupes) horsepower. Depending on the engine, transmission selections include a five-or six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. Standard equipment on all 25 Accord models includes front, front side and overhead airbags, antilock brakes, traction and stability controls. Larger than past models, interior layout and trim materials remain superb.
