2009 GMC ACADIA: The front- or all-wheel-drive, seven- or eight-passenger Acadia sport utility vehicle has a new 3.6-liter, 288-horsepower V6 engine for 2009. It replaces a 275-horsepower engine. The sole powerplant for the Acadia is the new engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. New in the options field is a navigation system with real-time traffic updates, plus heated and cooled front seats. Design cues include a tapered roofline, polished aluminum roof rails, large headlights with projector beam technology, LED taillights, and rear spoiler. Towing capacity when property equipped is 4,500 pounds. Roomy on the inside, interior cargo capacity is 116.9 cubic feet after second and third rows are folded. The third row offers exceptional leg room.
